Good government never depends upon laws, but upon the personal qualities of those who govern. The machinery of government is therefore subordinate to the will of those who administer that machinery. The most important element of government, therefore, is the method of choosing leaders.

Been a while since I last posted, obviously I am not taking this as a "Daily" sort of thing anymore, because well.. mainly ... I doubt there are many people that are really interested in reading this stuff, so therefore, with all those people that are not interested in reading this stuff, there is no real point to continue writing on a day-by-day basis.. especially when nothing interesting is really happening (except maybe the fact that I hurt my back at work and have to deal with all the BS related to that), but I did also manage to score my 'Naruto' Forehead protector, and a couple of Naruto Action Figures. (Kakashi, Naruto, Gaara & Sasuke). Mwahahaha. Ah well, not much else to report.

Have a nice day.

It has been a couple of days since I last posted with any real zeal or thought or feeling to it (mainly because I haven't really posted at all ... heh), so.. now that i have just returned home after delivering my wife to the Airport so that she can go on some flight to Las Angeles, CA USA to give some presentation thing for her work to some big-wig guy for his work or whatever... (I digress), I have decided to post a new message to all viewers.

First, I'd like to make mention that right now, I am tired as hell, and last night at work or whatever, was pretty horsesh*t as usual, although it was rather interesting, there were several, and I mean several, very fine-looking women flouting about and my mind was strangely occupied by the ... *mumbles on about how hot the girlies were*.. Anyhow, now that I finished mentioning that...

Today is probably going to be one of those "I went to sleep" rather early days. so, I'll leave you with one final thought before I take off into the darkness of my blankets because I am so godawfully tired... And that is..

Well, hope that thought works well for you.

Fairy Dance

You must check out the following link, it will brighten your day, it brightens mine..! *laughs*

Fairy Dance

Let's see. It's the middle of the morning, or night as the case may be, but it's saturday, or sunday depending on who you are, and I've been working around and messing around with this DOS-Emulator, amazingly enough that seemingly allows me to run many of the old games I have from the "old" days, of around 1989-1995 roughly. I managed to get several of these old games to run just as they were intended to run, audio-visually, playability and so forth, and therefore, this has given me cause to take some screenshots (mainly of introduction screens, as well as some various gameplay screens) of a few of the old games that I have saved for a long time, and put back on the old HD just to take these screenies of. You can find them here.

Let's see, what else can I mention. Erm. "Happy Easter" ?! Well, yes. It is easter sunday and I was told Friday (Saturday morning for your normal people) that Easter became associated with a Rabbit for some Egyptian god. I have no idea which Egyptian god uses the Rabbit as a symbol, or whatever, but I do know that several of the Egyptian gods do have interesting heads, like.. Horus or Anubis or Bast and many others. Those three have the heads of a Hawk, Dog and Cat respectively. So, it could therefore be easy to understand that there would be some cute & cuddly bunny-rabbit Egyptian god... hmmm.

Watched the latest episode of Naruto. Naruto #78. Man, I am so glad there are Japanese people, and that they make such cool things as Anime episodes, and that they also make such cool things as Anime memorabilia (which I have ordered... and hope are in the mail and on the way...)

I also wanted to make note of several things. 1.) I've just started reading the book Sanctuary by Lynn Abbey, author of several of the stores out of the Thieves World anthological(?) series. I also wanted to make note, that there are going to be upcoming Thieves World books and that ... I can't possibly wait til they come out because they haven't been written for something like 20 years, and therefore, it's been nigh-near impossible to obtain these books and so on. Mwah. Which means, that it will become very easy to obtain these old books, because it will be likely that they will be re-released and all (which will mean, I will be very happy to obtain their re-released versions) and that soon (not today, because it's easter), I will make a trip over to the local Barnes' and Noble that exists something like 1 mile away and I will make sure to purchase any available Thieves World books so as to show 'THE CORPORATION' that they will make muchos $$ by continuing to provide 'US' the Readers with such cool novels because they, 'THE CORPORATION' will get the $$ from people like you and I doing it. Hrm.

Well. let's see, that was 1., now.. what for #2. Oh ... hmms. Well, nothing more then I can think of, my brain has suddenly gone into "Befuddled" mode... so, I need to go do something else.

Well, let's see. Today, at this particular moment, it is thursday, and I am using Bit Tornado to download the next episode of Naruto (78) which I am highly anticipating, just as I am anticipating it's DVD release in the USA, but that probably won't be for another couple years, and until then I guess I will have to hoard my $$'s together so that I can wait until it does come and buy them each when they come available on DVD. Obviously I can't wait for that day to come. Hmmm.

Let's see, work was rather nice, if you can say that, I got my glasses last night before I got to work and my eyes are all wierd now, because this is the first time I've worn glasses in a long time and it is taking time for my eyes to become accustomed to them. At least, all I can say is that the headaches will go away as soon as my eyes are accustomed to them completely (even though I haven't had a headache since I started wearing them), but obviously this is a sign that my eyes are on the right path... that and I can see very clearly at the moment.

So, I am currently reading The Wizard and the Warlord by Elizabeth Boyer, author of The Elves and the Otterskin and The Troll's Gindstone amongst others, and I must say that even though I find them to be somewhat "juvenile" as my work-friend would say, they are a nice, easy read during the long nights at work (during my breaks) and they sure make the breaks pass by with a somewhat nice and happy time basically. Well, I am just waiting to get into Robert Aspirin's A Phule and HIS MONEY and Lynn Abbey's Sanctuary ... a spin-off of the Original Thieves World which I must say is one of my favorite fantasy series' (as well as the Myth Series by Robert Aspirin) and many other fantasy novels which could also be said to be amongst my favorites. (Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien, The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan, most of the old Dragonlance novels and Forgotten Realms novels...) Anyhow, there are too many to count, but at the least, it is my desire to keep on reading the books as fast as they can come out (which is not often as fast as I desire, mind you...)

Anyhow, I have little else to say, other then I think I will go back and play some more BG2:--- after I finish this book here.

Okay. Today was probably the worst day I've had at work in a -long- time. I mean, it is impossible to describe exactly how ... bad I found it to be without giving a brief summary of what exactly it was that happened to cause it to be a bad day. When I woke up today, after a few hour nap, because I had slept last night instead of staying on par with schedule and stuff, suffice it to say, screw up my sleep pattern, I was in a rather good mood and ready to progress to work and work hard and get everything done and whatever, deal. I got to work and started going about my daily routine (well, I have 2 routines, this was one of the two). Anyhow, as I went about my routine, everything seemed normal, until about the halfway point throughout the night, when one of my co-workers seemed to decide to have a "anger management" session as I would like to call it, and freak out. Well, other people around at work and whatnot saw & heard, and this guy basically freaked out over the words "Hey, are you ready?!" spoken in a raised voice to make sure that he heard me say them. Apparently, I am a complely disrespectful and horrible person for uttering that phrase while he was mid-conversation with another employee about non-work-related material... Sooooo. Anyhow, it ended up that I had to file a report on what happened and a bunch of *expletive deleted* ensued during the rest of the night.

Funny though, my spirits were never down, because I never did actually get angry about it, although I did become quite frustrated/exasperated, that he simply continued to try and blame me for all of his problems instead of taking responsibility for his anger-management problem. Regardless, I am unsure if this guy will continue to work there or not, and whether or not I will continue to have to work in close proximity with him. I'm not sure what I want, but I have no desire to see him fired, although I wouldn't mind seeing him chastised for his errors of course. The problem is, for some reason he is continuing to blame me as if I am the root of his problem, as if he'd have had no problem if not for me, etc. etc. Suffice it to say, it is complete crap in my opinion. Anyhow, aside from that crap, the night went very well.

I did start reading my new book (of which, the title I cannot remember at the moment...) and got through work otherwise unscathed. Whew. I'm just happy that crap is over and I hope that tonight does not provide the same "interesting" stuff that last night did.

Okay, away from the bad crap that happened at work.. yesterday (Sunday), I 'fixed' something (software) that was broken and got it working again and I am so very happy. What is it you ask?! What game could it possibly be?! Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn/Throne of Bhaal

What could I possibly mean by having it working and so on and so forth?!?! Well, my.. version of the game includes several 'user-made' additions that you can find here amongst other places, and it just so happens that some of the stuff that is in my version of the game was also personally edited to be like it is, by me, so as to more closely emulate my AD&D character Koltûr Azzur Tôl-Amrac in BG2. So far, I can do a 'fair' job in my own estimation, or at least, the closest to his old self even though the story of the game has nothing to do with any of the stories K has been a part of. *sniff* Regardless, I can play that game.. again, since I have beaten it something like 10 times already...

Anyhow, I can't think of anything more to include today (as I have already included more then normal...) and I hope you have a nice day.

Had a nifty time messing around on Sunday with my friend. Came over while I was watching this kinda interesting anime, which I can't pronounce, nor type the name of, suffice it to say, this anime is about some little high-school kid that can see "lines" where when cut, whatever it is that is cut, is ripped apart, like.. figure everything has certain lines of weakness, points of weakness along which it can be more easily broken, and apparently this kid sees these lines, can cut them and when they are cut, whatever it is that is cut, literally falls apart. Not only is there this kid, but apparently there are "vampires", two types of them.. "True Bloods" who are the ancient, "real" vampires that exist and the second type are called ... hmm ... well, I forgot what they are called, but they are essentially vampires that were created by these so-called True Bloods by having their blood drunk, so they are essentially more of the "folk-lorish" vampires. Either way, the anime is pretty good and I was having a good time watching it. I had it routed from the PC in the living room to the TV (47" widescreen projection HDTV *drool*) and was watching it there. It was a little grainy, but that's okay. I can suffer. Heh.

After that, my pal showed up and we started hanging out, he brought over his PC and started copying some of the music I keep around on my PC and after that, I started messing around with Neverwinter Nights a little bit. Oh, here's a pic! So, anyhow, I found this cool hak pack which is basically a "all-in-one" hak-pack, that I think that I mentioned in a earlier post, however it was really smooth (notice the cool cloak & sword) which are directly edited by the hakpack, and so I was rather happy by that.

Anyhow, I am supposed to get my glasses today, however I am rather anxious about getting them so that I can have a finish to the freakin' headaches I have been having, unfortunately, these bastards that get a hella lot of money seem to not understand the time it is taking them to get me the glasses, and the headaches involved with not having the damn things. It's not as if I want them except to get rid of these headaches, which of course, affect the things I like to do most ... PC, TV, whatever. I mean, sure, I do enjoy other things, as well, like Reading (which I enjoy more then the PC or TV actualy), but the main problem with that is, that it makes the headaches even faster then the PC or the TV do... Yeesh, dirty bastards.

Anyhow, I go.

Saturday Morning.

Okay, got home, feels great to be home, mainly because I can be happy, especially now that I am at home, and not at work. Whew. Although, when I came home, I found my 'net connection DC'd and quickly rememdied the problem by rebooting my router and re-connecting basically. Then, I get some ICQ messages from my good pal that I see on Saturdays, saying/asking if I would mind if he came over on Sundays instead, which of course, I responded with "I don't give a flyin' fuck..." cause, well... I don't really. Saturday or Sunday is both good for me, but I doubt this will remedy whatever problem he sees with coming over here (me being tired mostly probably, because when he comes over on Saturdays, often times I would have stayed awake a good portion of the morning and not be fully awake during our gaming session) because I will have the same sleep pattern as my normal work pattern generally if it happens this way. I doubt my wife will be extremely happy with that, but it is the great likelihood. Oh well. You can't win.

Now, for a few links to interesting stores of note:
1.) Pioneer to produce 50GB Blu-ray disk technique
2.) Neowin Review
3.) Code Monkey Publishing, Creator(s) of Etools for D&D 3rd Edition.
4.) A picture of my fantabulous desktop. Weep in envy.

Well, that's it for today kids, I could rant about other things, and maybe I will later, but not right now.

Ramble Ramble.

Okay then. It's like 7:50am. I got off work, my legs are aflame as I have exercised, worked, exercised again, but boy.. after today, I feel that "burn" of the getting stronger thing. I haven't felt that for a while and I am pretty happy about that. I have the intention of working off this little gut I got from the wife's cooking and my sweet tooth and my habitual snacking (as per the quit-smoking thing) the old "hand-mouth" motion or whatever. Soooo... it's going well, although I think the hardest part is the soda. Lack of caffeine maybe is what was giving me a hard time at work, but I scored a couple cups of coffee (which I don't normally drink) later on in the night and felt a bit better.

I am also looking forwards to the lame-ass glasses that I got coming. Sure, they look fine on me, and I will obviously look a bit smarter then I do right now, (yeah, I don't look like a dumbass though, bastards) but it will mean an end to the vision-related headaches (of course, after my eyes acclimate themselves to the glasses), which in turn will mean that I can spend more time on the PC, on the TV (PS2, Xbox, Gamecube, Atari-clone) and my favorite of the three, Books. Now that I mentioned books being my favorite form of entertainment, I will move on to say a few things (or rather, many things that are my solely my opinion) about what I feel are the problems of today.

Okay, so... when you read you are actually working a muscle that resides in your head. It is called your brain. Not only are you actively causing it to be used, to actually explore areas of your brain that probably aren't normally used and so forth, you are adding to your repertoire of information that you call your memories. Now, it is proven that the more you use your brain, the stronger your brain will become (just as with any muscle), therefore, one of the main problems with societies' youth of today, is the fact that they are not using their brains as much as they should (and of course, the environmental estrogens which cause male-children to lose their balls and talk/act like chicks, but that's another story) and therefore, society as a whole seems to currently being going through a certain stage of regression as far as intellect goes. I am not saying that I believe every Tom, Dick & Harry spends no time reading, but the vast majority of those who reside in the USA spend more time watching TV or surfing the net & playing video games, then they do reading books. I mean, sure, they have to read certain things while they are in school, (if they didn't drop out), but the fact of the matter is that they are more interested in doing whatever it is they want. Another thing that propagates this, is that parents are not taking responsibility for their children. Their children are growing up to be poor young-adults as far as atitude, ethics, morals and whatever else you may think and as a whole, help to rot out the core of the apple. Okay, so what is the point?! First, kids should get up off their respective couches from their video games and pathetic & horrible rap music to go to the library where they can expand their brains a little bit, instead of shrinking them. Sure, they want to be tough, or they want to have fun, but learning is fun when you are learning about something that is interesting to you. Telling me, that there is nothing that is interesting to you besides from video games & rap music is like.. saying you are ignorant, and worth less that a truck-full of dead rats in a tampon factory.

That is my little ramble for today I think, that and my pal is coming over, and I think that out of the kindness of my heart, I will give him a few of these "Hentai-" (Pervert-, Japanese) games that I have on the PC, cause I know he digs that sorta thing. Heh.

Remember, if you like Anime, you should make sure to check out Ninja Scroll and Berserk & Twelve Kingdoms.
